Scams Targeting ASIC Customers

Scammers claiming to be from ASIC have been reaching Registry clients requesting that they pay expenses and give personal data to renew their business or organisation name.

These emails normally have a link that gives an invoice with phony fee details or affects your computer with malware in the event that you click the connection.

The ONLY email address you will receive correspondence from ASIC on is: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

An email is most likely a scam and isn't from ASIC if it asks you:

  • to make a payment over the phone
  • to make a payment to receive a refund
  • for your credit card or bank details directly by email or phone
  • pay fees that are different to the fees on our website

If you are unsure whether or not the email is a scam, please contact our office before you click on any links.
